Prince Siddhartha's father wanted his son to be a great and powerful ruler. If the Prince saw the world in need, he might give up his royal duties to seek a spiritual path. So the king decided to protect his son from all the horros outside the palace walls. Although the Prince never had to worry about anything because everything was provided for him by his servants, he still was curious about life outside the palace.
When he turned 16, he married a noblewomen. The curiosity of life outside the palace seemed to fade as he lived 12 peaceful years with his wife enjoying the luxury of the palace. At the age of 29 they had a son.
